Volunteer Coach Background Checks

At Palos Baseball Organization (PBO), the safety of our players is our top priority. To help maintain a safe and positive environment for all kids and families, all volunteer coaches and team staff are required to complete a background check each season.

Why We Require Background Checks

PBO works hard to ensure that every child participating in our programs is in a safe and supportive environment. Background checks help us:

• Protect the safety and well-being of our players

• Ensure volunteers meet youth safety standards

• Maintain trust with our families and community

• Comply with best practices for youth sports organizations

Cost Covered by PBO

PBO covers the full cost of the background check for our volunteer coaches. There is no cost to you to complete the screening.
