2022 Changes

A Few New Things!

Palos Baseball is proud to announce that we are expanding our age groups! We are starting by creating a Shetland division for the kindergarten age group which will be geared towards the early development of our future stars!! This league will be more about introducing baseball while giving them the next level excitement of playing on our beautiful fields! The option to play up a league will still be there if you feel your child’s skill set is ready for a stronger level of competition!
(Registration for Shetland will start in December)

Our next age adjustment has created an opportunity to allow the kids who aren’t playing with their current grade level to play down to be with their classmates. The age cutoff has remained the same but the goal of this change is to allow kids to experience baseball with the friends they see each day in school.

Finally, this is something that we are very excited about because it’s going to give kids who won’t be playing on a high school or full time travel team the chance to play another year at PBO. We are now allowing 15 year olds born before Sept.1 who are not rostered on a high school or full time travel team to keep playing in our league. Baseball should last as long as it can for the kids in our community which is why we decided to make the change.
