Palos Baseball Organization has a part time travel program. This program serves as an enrichment program to our in house baseball league. The part time program allows players to play baseball at a more competitive level by playing against other baseball organizations. The schedule will consist of 10 to 15 additional games with approximately half of the games played at the PBO fields and the other half at the opposing teams’ fields. The costs to participate and play in this program are separate from the normal registration fees to play baseball at PBO. In order to participate in the part time program, players must try out and be selected to the teams. There is a $10 fee for each player to try out. All players who are registered to play baseball at PBO for the 2012 season (or who register before or at the tryout) are eligible to try out. The number of teams at each age level will be determined by the number of players that try out and the availability of potential managers and coaches.

Sunday, December 4, 2011 - 9am to 12pm
8U (Pinto players – generally 2nd graders)
10U (second year Mustang players – generally 4th graders)
Sunday, December 11, 2011 - 9am to 12pm
9U (first year Mustang players – generally 3rd graders)
11U (first year Bronco players – generally 5th graders)
Sunday, December 18, 2011 - 9am to 12pm
12U (second year Bronco players – generally 6th graders)
Parents listed their son’s or daughter’s names on a part time travel sign up sheet during the PBO registration nights. Those sign up sheets are used by PBO for gauging and determining the interest level in the part time program to allow PBO to properly plan the tryout. It is not necessary for you to contact PBO and inform PBO whether or not your son or daughter will try out for the part time travel program. On each try out day, immediately after the tryout begins, a representative from PBO will address the parents with additional information and answer any questions.
