2011 - 9 Year Old Home Run Derby

On Wednesday, June 1st the Palos 9 year olds met on the Mustang Field for the second time.  It was a hard fought battle with the Elmosa team evening up the series with a 12-11 victory.  After the game all the 9 year old Spring travel teams and their families were invited to a pizza party by the concession stand.  The kids had a blast as they took down 11 pizzas and a river of pop.

Once the game on the Family Field was complete, the 9 year olds participated in a Home Run Derby under the lights.  The excitement was high as the opening round lead to some great fireworks of homeruns.  In the end, Dane Thomas out battled Danny Bulthuis for the crown.

Congrats to all the 9 year old players and their coaches for a fun filled night.
